“Never before has management of air pollution been so crucial. According to a recent study, an increase in pollution particles in the air, of 10 micrograms per cubic meter, cuts victims’ life expectancy by 9-11 years, but the increase in pollution is also costing billions due to high usage of fossil fuels. Prof Mikael Skou Andersen of Aarhus University in Denmark, the study’s lead author, said, “We need a robust and consistent way of determining the economic benefit of reducing air pollution to produce compelling data that encourages countries to reduce their use of fossil fuels.”” Hindustan Times
