No pollution data for hours as snag hits sole machine: the Times of India

GURUGRAM: The city’s sole air quality monitoring machine broke down, first on Saturday then on Sunday, due to technical glitches. Despite soaring pollution levels in Gurugram, the city is dependent on only one stationary machine to monitor its air quality.
“The machine suddenly stopped working after the dust storms. The exact problem, however, could not be ascertained. Also, it’s not the first time the machine stopped functioning. We definitely need at least one more such machine to give a clearer picture of air pollution in the city,” said a Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) official.
