“The Union Environment Ministry will set up a control room at the Central Pollution Control Board
(CPCB) in Delhi to conduct a daily review of pollution levels from different monitoring stations, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said Friday. ‘We will immediately set up a control room in CPCB to undertake a daily review of levels of air pollution and monitor the air quality in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR). The recent 15-day long smog in Singapore is like a warning to all cities, including Delhi, to become more serious about the issue,’ said Javadekar.
