The Times of India reprints Gardiner Harris’s New York Times Sunday Review piece (published on May 29) with the following introduction: “Gardiner Harris was the South Asia correspondent of the New York Times for the last three years. He writes a very grim account of pollution in Delhi. Many will feel Harris’s account is exaggerated, but if this is how expats feel about the city’s air, there is a clear risk of Delhi being regarded as a blackhole in Western capitals.
