NDTV’s third episode of a special series on air pollution entitled Clean Air,
My Right, “takes a look at what is contributing to this mess.”
“Delhi is the most polluted city in the world. That’s common knowledge today. But did you know that 13 of the 20 most polluted cities in the world are right here in India?…How did our cities get this polluted?”
This third episode focuses on cities outside of Delhi, such as Patna which is the second most polluted city in India, and the health impact of some of the rural causes of air pollution, including indoor air pollution caused by the use of bio mass burning for cooking, “stubble burning” on fields in the Punjab, pollution from factories in cities like Raipur, and more. The episode notes that with the increased sales for air purifiers, people are now paying to breath clean air. NDTV (19 minute video). Watch it on delhiair.org.
